TECHNICAL DIVING
Deep Air Diver Course

The Deep Air Program is designed to provide responsible training to divers who plan to dive to 39 msw (130fsw) on air. The IANTD Deep Air Program trains divers in skills, performance, theory and the planning of deep dives. This program remains within the commonly practiced depth of 39 msw (130fsw).
It is the first sanctioned program to provide proper international training in safe, deep diving skills and performance. It is recommended that this is taught in conjunction with the IANTD EANx Diver program.
PREREQUISITES:
Must be an IANTD Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent with 10 logged dives. Minimum of 15 yrs. With parent or guardian authorization, or a minimum of 12 yrs of age for Junior Diver qualificiation, or a minimum of 18 years of age without guardian approval.

- Equipment configuration
- Confined Water Training
- Working on skills and standards and procedures
DAY 1 - Lecture PM:
- Dive planning
- Gas management
- Dive 1 - OW Depth 27-39msw (90-130fsw)
- Dive 2 - OW Depth 9-27msw (30-90fsw)
DAY 2 - Lecture AM:
- O2, Nitrogen Narcosis
- Decompression Theory
- Hypothermia
DAY 2 - PM: 2 Dives
- Dive 3 Depth 27-39msw (90-130 fsw) - Drift/Elective
- Dive 4 Depth 9-30msw (30-100 fsw) - Night Dive
- Early evening written exam
