Anker Wreck Dive Site, Menjangan Island

Location: Northwest Menjangan Island

Visibility: 15-25m

Depths: 5.5 -40 m (18-130ft)

 

Diving Conditions: Currents can be strong and drift diving is enjoyed here. Slack tide is best for diving on the wreck.

Travel time to site: By mini-bus approx. 3,5 hours & 30 mins. by traditional boat

Underwater Topography: The Anker rests at 5.5 m along a deep slope. From here, descend to the first section of the wreck at about 27 m.
The slope flattens at about 37 m. and most of the ship is scattered diagonally at 40 m or so. This slope can get quite steep in places and has canyons and crevices. This site is within the marine reserve.

Marine life: Lots of fish action, with reef sharks, bull jacks, schooling grey snappers, surgeonfish and fusiliers, moray eels and large nudibranchs at about 8-40m

Main Attractions: Great wall diving, deep diving. Colourful corals, one of the oldest wrecks in Bali. built in the late 1800' s and sunk during World War II.
