"Manta Point" dive site which is located south-west Nusa Penida is one of Bali's most frequently visited divesites. It's possible to encounter the mighty Manta Ray year round at this location. Dive conditions can be challenging at this place because this part of Nusa Penida is under the influence of the ocean to the south.

Diving Conditions: Can be a calm dive and good for snorkelling but weather, tide and current conditions can turn this site into a whirlpool in addition to making access slow and difficult.

Underwater Topography: Manta point and its sibling, bat rock, sit along the wild cliff-line of south Nusa Penida.
Marine life: During April, May and June Manta Rays (Manta Birostris) crowd along this reef, they come to mate, give birth, and visit cleaning stations. They swim into the currents with their mouths gaping to feed, they usually move against the current. You can see them break the surface and slap the water with their wings. Mantas come in all sizes and colours, from light grey with dazzling white underbellies, to jet black with touches of white on their mandibles. They can be curious and a close up experience is quite possible.
Main Attractions:Recommended for the more experienced diver.Manta rays, exhilarating drift dives and/or calm conditions. Snorkelling is possible when conditions permitting.
