Lembongan Marine Park/Jungut Batu

Nusa Lembongan photo

Lembongan Marine Park

Jungut Batu

Bali International Diving Professionals are running a small office at the island of Nusa Lembongan, the small island between Bali and Nusa Penida in the Badung Strait. From our office on Lembongan you look over Sanghiang Bay, across the Badung Strait at Bali. Breathtaking sunsets and views at Bali and the majestic contours of Bali's holy vulcano The Gunung Agung.

To provide dive trips and tours for divers staying on the islands Nusa Lembogan and Penida, BIDP operates their own speed-boat from the island of Nusa Lembongan. This purpose built speedboat is a small replica of BIDP's big boat which is used to cross the Badung Strait for the divetrips around Lembongan and Penida departing from Sanur, Bali.BIDP Little Speed Boat at Lembongan picture

By using the small speedboat for the trips from Nusa Lembongan, the dive operation run from Lembongan is not relying on BIDP's main Speed-Boat which has it's dock at the beach of Sanur and has to cross the Badung strait (45 min) to provide it's service at the islands of Nusa- Lembongan, Penida and Ceningan.

Location: Lembongan Bay (Sanghiang Bay)

Visibility: 10-12m

Depths: 4-12m (15-40ft)

Diving Conditions: Calm and protected area for divers, perfect site for introductory dives. Currents sometimes pass through here and the bay can be cold. A good place for night diving.

Travel time to site: 35-45 min. by our speedboat (departure from Sanur).

Sanghiang Bay photoUnderwater Topography: Some of the site lies under a pontoon. A white sandy bottom is broken by diverse reef formations. A short reef trail has been set up here which informs introductory divers of the different reef attractions.

Marine life: Cuttlefish, octopus, triggerfish and stingrays nestle in the sandy areas.

Main Attractions: Very colourful reef, suitable for introductory divers and refresher courses.
