A short ride from Padang Bai, a volcanic lump rising out of the water, close to the shore.

Travel time to site: 2 hours by mini-bus and 5 min. by traditional boat
Underwater Topography: Covered in snake life coral heads of many sizes. Blood-red seafans, tunicates and many different kind of sponges. Coral is also booming in this area. Near the island, the bottom is at about 12 m and gently slopes away from the island past 30 m.along the area called the canyon. Strong downward currents can develop when the tide and surf are active. This can be very dangerous and Bali International Diving Professionals (BIDP) recommend that you stay close to you professional dive guide/instructor at all times during your dives.
Marine life: Golden jacks, huge batfish, groupers, blue lobster, and sometimes, near the channel facing Nusa Penida, the mola mola enjoy the cold upwellings. Gray reef sharks, white-tips nestle in caves and holes on the western edge of the island.
