A selection of 4 small islands between Bali’s mainland and Gili Tepekong.
Location: Southeast of Candidasa
Visibility: 10-25m
Depths: 6-27m (20-90ft)
Diving Conditions: There are some challenging currents and ocean up-wellings at this location. This supports the plantonic life that draws large marine-life like the whale shark, which have been seen, but rarely in these waters.
Travel time to site: 2 hours by mini-bus and 5 min. by traditional boat
Underwater topography: The coloured sea fans along the islands decorated reefs and channels, each have at least a dozen crinoids. It is a mass of colour and a hive of activity. This is not such a deep side to dive.
Marine life: Majestic angelfish, crimson basslets and schools of yellowtails, bannerfish, Napoleon wrasses, large, grey reef sharks, eagle and large black rays, white-tip and leopard sharks love this whirlpool.
