Diving Conditions: Currents deeper down, but also suitable for intro divers, night divers and long photographic sessions!
Travel time to site: 2 hours by mini-bus and 10 min. by traditional boat
Underwater Topography: Shallow reefs. Staghorn coral patch reefs start in just 3 m. of water. It then opens out into a haven of bommies, soft leather corals and dancing anemones. The delicate tips of the well-developed plate corals are tipped with purple and blue colouring. Divers can access deeper water by cruising west down the gentle slope and out to the point. The wall drops vertically to around 24 m. This is recommended for more advanced divers.
Marine life: Tiny invertebrate life. Stonefish, large cuttle fish, scorpionfish, damselfish, basslets, silvery baitfish. Brilliantly coloured nudibranchs, mantis shrimp, to large groupers.
Main Attractions: Easy night dive, cuttlefish. Protected site from currents in shallows. |
